The reactor design pattern is an event processing mode for processing service requests that are simultaneously transmitted to the service processor through one or more inputs, and the service handler then multiplexes the incoming requests and synchronizes them Dispatched to the associated request handler. All reactor systems are single-threaded, but can exist in the environment.

Advantages: The Reactor pattern completely separates application-specific code from the reactor implementation, which means that application components can be divided into modular, reusable parts; in addition, the reactor mode allows for simple coarse-grained concurrency due to synchronous invocation of request handlers. Without increasing the complexity of multithreading to the system.

Limitation: Due to the control of reverse flow, the reactor mode is more difficult to control than the program mode. Moreover, by only invoking the request handler, the reactor mode limits the concurrency, especially on symmetric multiprocessing hardware. The scalability of the reactor mode is not only limited by the synchronous call request handler, but also by the demultiplexer.
